Wells Fargo Championship

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to the Wells Fargo Championship. My friend Rylee's dad is the Chief of Security for the PGA so he was able to get us some all-access passes.
Ethan, Myself, Rylee, Jesse
Because we didn't pay for the passes, we decided to only stay a couple hours which was great! We started off by pulling in to the parking lot and, literally, parking 3 spots away from the clubhouse. It was kind of fun to walk around with someone with authority because anytime we were stopped or people questioned where we were going, it would basically flash his badge, state who he was and then kept going (politely of course).
This girl has become one of my best friends!
We walked to several different holes to watch the players, learned about the ins and outs of the tournaments, took some pictures, then called it a day! I'm so glad we got to attend, but I don't know if I'd ever go again if I had to pay (some of the seats in the tents went for $4,000 a piece!!)!

Crazy hair

I was going through my pictures, and came across one of my favorite pictures that I've taken of Nixon. This is what happens when you have rabbit hair and play on the trampoline.

Mother's Day

I have been blessed with the best mother in the world!
She may live all the way across the United States, but I know (unless she's working) she's only a phone call away and will be there to listen to anything I have to say. Whether is venting about Nixon, crying over something ridiculous, or just calling to say hi, she's there and I could not imagine a better mother for me. Love you mom!

On the other hand, I was blessed to marry into a family that has an amazing mother as well.
You never can truly appreciate someone until you see everything that they do for others. It has been a blessing living with Sarah, because I've been able to, not only get to know her, but to see how selfless she truly is. These past few months have been an absolutely roller coaster and she continues to do so much for others. She's an amazing mother-in-law and I feel very blessed to have her.

And on this day of mothers I can't forget to mention the boy who made me a mother.
Oh, how I love this little man of mine. He melts my heart so many times a day, and I'm so thankful he's mine.

Myrtle Beach part 4

Our last day in Myrtle Beach was awesome! Ethan and I were going back home, so we wanted to make sure we did something fun.

We started off the day with with a walk on the beach.
It was a beautiful sunny day, but I was a little chilly still. Ethan was determined to go into the ocean while we were there, even though the water was cold.
I love this sequence of shots

We all headed back to the hotel where Ethan and Eric got in the hot tub, while the rest of us hung out around the poolside.
These two were the best of friends.
We headed back to the room so we could get packed up and then head down to the boardwalk.
While we were walking we passed an artist that did caricatures. These always make me nervous because I'm always wondering what they're going to "enhance" on me, but it turned out awesome. I'll have to remember to post it sometime.
We also hit up a candy store that had this wall of Jellybeans, ten pound chocolate bars and multiple overly large candy items that no one in their right mind should ever buy/consume.
We were all ready for some dinner before it was time for us to head back home and we found this great place with an ocean view called Moe Moons. The burgers and fries were fantastic.
We finished dinner and started on our way back to the car, but not without first catching this beauty:
The perfect view to end a perfect weekend.

Myrtle Beach part 3

In all of the craziness that's been going on, I completely forgot to finish posting about our trip to Myrtle Beach!

It was Friday and the weather told us it was going to be rainy. We decided to take a walk down to the beach for as long as the weather would cooperate. We made sure we had a quick getaway plan so we made sure we stayed close to the beach access and actually left our strollers as the access so we could grab them and run if we needed to.

It's a good thing we did too because within a 2 minute span we were being pelted by huge raindrops and were pretty wet by the time we got to cover.

We got back to our room and waited anxiously for Ethan and Eric to get in. They got in about 6:00pm and we had some dinner. The kids were already off their schedule, so we decided to go swimming that night in the indoor pool. Outside was FREEZING but it wasn't too bad inside. The moment we got in to the room with the pool our eyes were burning so bad. The spa was running and the fumes of chlorine were so strong.

I had been in that pool the day before and it was really warm so I jumped right in. About 2 minutes later, I was freezing! I was shaking and shivering, as was Nixon. We stayed about 15 or 20 minutes and then I had to get out! We headed to back to the room, showered and got the boys to bed. We sat around and talked for a bit and then we all called it a night to make sure we were well rested for our last day.

Nixon's first haircut

I'm not super sentimental when it comes to things like 1st haircuts. More than anything, I just want it to look like the way I want. I've been wanting to get his hair cut for a while now, so I decided today was the day!
I've been researching different styles that I wanted and I found the perfect one! I was so excited! We went to Great Clips (first mistake, which I knew going in to this whole thing) and we checked in. Ethan held him as I showed the lady the picture and so I could take some pictures. The lady literally glanced at the picture, and then started his cut. The second she started cutting I knew it was not what I wanted but it was too late.

He cried for most of the cut, but it was only about 5 minutes, so it was bearable.
It's not terrible, I don't love it, but I will never go to a stylist in a box ever again. People may think it's ridiculous, but I know what I like and what I want! Luckily, he could be bald and still be adorable.
